This site is an account of my interest in learning the dynamics of the cotton market. I’ve always been particularly interested in the commodities market, and as a smaller market, cotton will be a good asset class for part time analysis. I claim no expertise whatsoever on this market, but hopefully this will good me a good field to try applying some of the things I’ve been learning during my master’s program.
As for myself, I am currently nearing completion of my MSc in applied finance at the École des Sciences de la Gestion, the business faculty of the Université de Québec à Montréal. I graduated with a BComm from Queen’s University in 2012, after which I worked as an analyst with J.P. Morgan Cazenove in London, before spending a brief stint as a biofuels trading analyst. My passion for finance is definitely markets focussed, and so agricultural commodity trading is an area I am definitely interested in working in after graduating.
